Overview

The Citi College Bound program, made possible through the support of the Citi Foundation, provides 21 New Visions High Schools and 86 New Century High Schools with the support and resources they need to build and sustain strong college bound cultures.

The program engages the full spectrum of those involved in a student’s educational experience-from schools, parents and students themselves to local organizations and the community at large – to ensure that every student at New Visions and New Century high schools has access to the skills, knowledge and resources they need to apply to, be accepted by, attend and succeed in college.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The Citi College Bound Program seeks to:

> Build sustainable capacities at small schools and campuses by involving multiple stakeholders-staff, partners, parents and students – in developing and implementing a school-wide college bound culture
> Provide targeted professional development to schools with juniors and seniors
> Strengthen relationships between small schools and colleges
> Document and disseminate materials and best practices
> Increase reach of program’s core value that “College is Possible for Every New York City Student”
