Supporting Principals

New Visions is committed to developing and supporting school leaders who champion collaborative, supportive and academically rigorous environments focused on student achievement. Within its network of schools, each principal works closely with a Leadership Development Facilitator (LDF), a New Visions staff member who has deep expertise in education and school leadership.

In New Visions’ network of schools, the New Visions staff support principals in:

  • Building school structures that better support student learning
  • Sharing data and analysis of student and school performance outcomes on a regular basis
  • Facilitating collaboration among school leaders and teachers to improve student achievement
  • Organizing resources that address student learning needs
  • Understanding and meeting city requirements and standards.

Through regular site visits and connecting the school with important resources at New Visions, the Department of Education and other organizations, New Visions staff members help principals in responding to immediate school needs while maintaining a focus on the long-term goals of the school.
