    Summary: Based on educational achievement, leadership and financial need.

    Eligibility: For high school seniors with cystic fibrosis planning to attend an undergraduate college, university, or vocational school. Must be diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.

  • Barbara Davies Troisi Foundation

    Summary: For students with reading and learning disabilities, primarily in New York and New Jersey.

  • Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing College Scholarship Award

    Summary: For students with moderate to profound bilateral hearing loss admitted to a college or university program that primarily enrolls students with normal hearing.

    Eligibility: Must demonstrate a serious commitment to academic and career excellence, must have unaided puretone average of 500, 1,000, and 2,000 Hz, and be committed to using spoken language.

  • Barbara Wiedner and Dorothy Vandercook Peace Scholarship

    Summary: For high school seniors and college freshmen who participate in activities relating to peace and social justice, nuclear disarmament issues, and conflict resolution.

    Eligibility: Must be a high school senior or college freshman. International students may apply.

  • New York State Grange Denise Scholarship

    Summary: For students with an undergraduate major or career interest in agriculture or a related field.

    Eligibility: Must be a Grange member with demonstrated financial need and must reside, be accepted to, and attend college in New York state.

    Summary: For high school seniors who are considering a career in family medicine.

    Eligibility: Must be nominated by a family physician who is a member of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians.

  • Seinfeld Scholarship Program

    Summary: From a different borough each year, a four-year, full tuition scholarship is given to New York City public high school graduates to attend the college of their choice.

    Eligibility: Must be a legal resident of New York City, and from the designated borough (Manhattan for 2009-10), graduating from a New York City public high school with a cumulative average of not less than 85. Upon graduation, plan to enroll in a full-time course of study leading to a bachelor's degree at any accredited four-year college or university and demonstrate financial need.

  • Thurgood Marshall College Fund Thurgood Marshall College Fund

    Summary: For African American high school seniors to pursue any course of study at historically black colleges or universities (must be a TMCF member school).

    Eligibility: Must be an African American high school senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0, an SAT score of 1,650, or ACT score of 25. Must be recommended by their High School as academically exceptional or outstanding in the creative and performing arts. Must be a U.S. citizen.
