  • American Chemical Society Scholars Program

    Summary: For underrepresented minority students who wish to enter the field of chemistry or a related field such as toxicology or chemical technology. Based on need, academic merit, career objective, and leadership and community involvement.       

    Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate need. Must show intent to major and work in chemical science or chemical technology if not doing so already.

  • Newhouse Foundation Scholarship

    Summary: For high school seniors who are members of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). Intended course of study must be the communications field, preferably journalism.

    Eligibility: Must be an African-American high school senior with student membership to the NABJ (high school membership, $35), at least 3.0 GPA. Must work on the campus newspaper.

  • The New York Urban League Whitney M. Young, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

    Summary: For African-American, Latino, Asian or Native American high school graduates or GED recipients with excellent character and proven leadership ability.

    Eligibility: Must be a resident of New York City and admitted to an accredited college in pursuit of a bachelor's or associate's degree. Must be a high school graduate with a cumulative average of 80 or a cumulative GED of 250.

  • Xerox Technical Minority Scholarship

    Summary: For minority students planning a major or career in chemistry, information management, computing and software systems, material science, printing management science, laser optics, physics or engineering.

    Eligibility: Must be an African American, Asian, Pacific Islander, Native American, Alaskan or Hispanic student who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, with a minimum GPA of 3.0,

  • National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering Scholarship

    Summary: Scholarships through specific colleges for students majoring in engineering.

    Eligibility: Must be a minority student who is a U.S. citizen and enroll in an engineering program at partner university, maintain GPA between 2.5 and 2.8 and register for NACME's student online resume directory.

  • Hispanic Scholarship Fund/General College Scholarship

    Summary: Four scholarships offered for graduating high school seniors of Hispanic heritage.

    Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551, planning to enroll at an accredited college, with at least a 3.0 GPA. Must apply for federal financial aid using the FAFSA form.

    Summary: For African American high school seniors to pursue any course of study at historically black colleges or universities (must be a TMCF member school).

    Eligibility: Must be an African American high school senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0, an SAT score of 1,650, or ACT score of 25. Must be recommended by their High School as academically exceptional or outstanding in the creative and performing arts. Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • New York State Native American Education Unit

    Summary: For Native American students for use at a two- or four-year college or vocational institution.

    Eligibility: Must be on the tribal roll of a New York state tribe or have a parent who is on the roll. Tribes include members of the Iroquoian tribes (St. Regis, Mohawk, Oneida, Onondage, Cay Uga, Seneca Nation, Tonawanda Band of Seneca and Tuscarona) the Shinnecock tribe and Poospatuck tribe.

College Scholarship

    Summary: In memory of Italian ancestors who came to America to build better lives for themselves and their families and in hope that future generations of Italian Americans will honor those who came before them by upholding values of love of country, family and tireless work ethic.

    Eligibility: Students of Italian descent who are from a household where the total income does not exceed $25,000, demonstrates community service and has at least a 3.25 GPA. Student must be from the states of MD, PA, VT, RI, NY, NJ, DE, DL, ME, MA, NH or CT.
