For Students & Parents
At New Visions, we want to provide you and your family with the tools to succeed in high school, college, career and beyond. Here you will find resources to help you decide what your path will be.
If you are thinking of applying to a New Visions Charter school, you might want to begin by learning more about each school. Once you've figured out which one is the best fit for you, find out how to apply and look for answers to questions you may have about the application process.
New Visions also serves more than 40,000 public school students, with a network of high schools in all of the five boroughs. Take some time to learn more about the personality of each school in our 2012-13 Schools Guide (also in Spanish), or visit some of the links on the right for more resources to help you make your decision.
With the generous support of various donors, New Visions provides $20,000 over the course of four years toward students' full-time undergraduate study. Here you can find information on how to qualify for this scholarship and how to apply.
If the New Visions Scholarship Fund is not for you, maybe one of these will be a better fit: in this section you'll find over 100 scholarships for New York City students based on many criteria, including academic achievement; learning and physical disabilities; gay and transgender concerns; athletics, journalism, science; and much more.
The decision to go to college is an important one. A college degree, whether from a two-year, four-year, technical or vocational school, is an investment that will pay off. But getting there can be a confusing process. Here, you can find answers to your questions about testing requirement and schedules, tips for applying and help securing financial aid.
