Convenient Hiring Process
New Visions reduces the paperwork and simplifies the application process by quickly putting prospective teachers in contact with multiple schools:
- By completing one online application, you will have access to all of the teaching positions within the New Visions network, allowing you to find a school that best fits your needs without applying to each school separately.
- Because New Visions screens each application centrally, there is an added element of selectivity and quality among New Visions hires. You can be assured that your colleagues will be among the most talented in the city.
- The online application allows you to narrow or widen your school preferences so you have full control over where you apply and teach. If you feel a school is not the right fit for you, you have no obligation to take the position.
If you are offered a position at a New Visions school, you will be required to complete an application for the NYCDOE that reconfirms you meet all certification and quality requirements. You must also be fingerprinted and undergo a background check. The $115 fee for these services can be deducted from your first paycheck. When you receive an offer from a New Visions school, you will also receive an e-mail with directions for completing these steps.
