New Visions teachers are part of a truly collaborative effort to ensure academic success for every student. New Visions believes deeply in the power of a connected community of teachers, administrators, community leaders, families and students. The organization empowers students to take ownership of their learning by encouraging their participation and valuing their voices. New Visions teachers regularly collaborate with colleagues, students and partner organizations in a variety of ways:

• Teachers work together to create personalized learning strategies for every student. Each New Visions school is expected to provide teachers with common planning periods and the opportunity to explore and reflect on their professional practice with one another.
• Teachers personalize their teaching to attend to student needs and interests. 
• New Visions schools partner with hundreds of local organizations that can provide resources to enrich school curriculum and enhance teachers’ ability to raise student achievement.
