REGIONAL LIBRARY REPRESENTATIVES'
NETWORK
The Regional Library Representatives’ Network
(RLRN) provides professional development and networking
opportunities to New York City Department of Library
Coordinators and the Regional Instructional Specialists
so they can better support the school librarians in
their regions. Networking sessions complement the
support offered by the Library Office of the New York
City Department of Education.
Members of the Regional Library Representatives’
Network develop tools aimed at improving school libraries
across New York City. Products of this work include
the Library
Learning Walk, a collaborative tool that helps
administrators, librarians and teachers define a vision
and direction for their library program, and a professional
development plan that enables principals to identify
the components of a thriving library media program.
