“Good to Go,” otherwise known as “G2G,” is our college and career readiness campaign. It is designed to engage students in preparing for the future – and to rally parents, schools and communities to help them get there. The G2G campaign is spreading the word about the importance of four key gateways to college: attendance, grades, credit accumulation and Regents exams.
Far too many students graduate from high school unprepared for college and the workforce. Four out of every 10 new college students need to take remedial courses, including 25 percent of new students at four-year colleges and universities and 60 percent at two-year institutions.
The future of New York City depends upon the skills, preparedness and ingenuity of our students. We must get them ready for the rigors that await them.
