Open position: Salesforce.com Systems Administrator
Position Summary
The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and further developing New Visions’ Salesforce.com implementation. Daily activities will include resolving technical and functional support issues, driving new opportunities for functionality, managing data loads and data quality and training other support personnel and end-users on new features and existing functionality. In addition to acting as System Administrator for the Salesforce.com application, the successful candidate may work with cross-departmental teams to support and maintain other technology solutions in the IT software portfolio.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all tasks related to the day-to-day operations of a medium sized implementation of salesforce.com including managing users, creating and maintaining custom objects and fields, handling bulk data migration, maintenance of page layouts, and installation and support of app exchange applications.
- Manage a fast-paced queue of support requests, driving all issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient task execution.
- Maintain and demonstrate 100% compliance with all written policies and change management controls.
- Configure and maintain “sandbox” environments to facilitate successful development and QA testing of new on-demand features and functionality.
- Conduct Release Management tasks required to promote tested functionality from sandbox into a production environment
- Develop and implement training plans, including the creation of training material, for users.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity.
- Create and maintain all system documentation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-4 years experience in Web Application or IT Support with proven ability to support customers with diverse requirements
Required Skill Sets and Knowledge Base
- Previous Salesforce.com administration experience for minimum 80-seat environment handling all aspects of CRM, case management and platform maintenance highly desirable.
- Demonstrated understanding of Salesforce.com platform and services including SFA, Case Management, Force.com, Marketing, Service & Support, Visual Force and/or AppExchange.
- Excellent project management skills with ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks across various user groups.
- Some understanding of business processes and ability to translate business requirements into application functionality.
- Must be a go-getter and Salesforce.com enthusiast who thrives on working in fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with service-oriented attitude and customer focus.
- Strong documentation and training skills.
Desired Skill Sets
- Technical aptitude for, and experience supporting, client-server and/or web-based applications
- Familiarity with Change and Release Management processes
- Experience supporting or developing SQL, XML and/or Java
- Experience with enterprise integration tools such and APIs
- Salesforce.com Certifications strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing and oral presentations; must be articulate and persuasive in writing as well as verbally
- Practical experience in large urban school systems is preferred
- Practical experience with a dynamic non-profit organization is preferred
