A Message from the Principal

The mission of New Visions Charter High School for Advanced Math and Science II (AMS II) is to prepare our students to become successful members of the global community.

Our 6 Core Values – Respect, Integrity, Commitment, Honor, Excellence, Responsibility – help our scholars become better citizens and lead richer lives.

In pursuit of this goal, we provide our students with a superior education that is experiential in its approach and includes community-based projects. We cultivate citizens who have the tools necessary to compete both locally and globally in the 21st-century economy.

We believe that such “hands-on, minds-on” learning experiences are critical to student engagement and essential to the process of preparing students to become college and career ready.

We hope that you’ll consider coming to experience our school for yourself.

Sincerely,

Stacey King, Principal

Extracurricular activities

PSAL sports, including basketball, indoor/outdoor track, swimming, double dutch, tennis, softball and baseball. After-school activities and clubs are determined based on student interests.

Important things for parents to know

We are committed to the personal, social and emotional well-being of our students and provide a caring and supportive learning environment that facilitates student growth. Through a strong school counseling and advisory program, we will address the barriers that impede student learning. Students are required to wear the uniform daily. They also have the advantage of an extended day for more learning time.

About our campus

We are a small school co-located within the Jane Addams High School campus in the Bronx, providing our students with the opportunities and amenities that come with attending a large high school. Students on campus will share resources and work cooperatively with one another for the fostering of the campus community.
