Our Philosophy
AMS III scholars engage in learning that allows academic risk-taking, embraces multiple attempts at learning, cultivates imaginative and creative abilities, and celebrates achievement.
College and Career Support
New Visions Charter High Schools are college and career preparatory high schools that are committed to helping all students gain the skills that they will need to succeed after they graduate.
Advanced Regents Opportunities
Every school year we provide students with five seven advanced regents. Currently we offer :
- Computer Science
- AP Language and Composition
- AP Chemistry
- AP World History
- AP Government
- AP Caluculus
Challenge-Based Learning
When students engage with challenges or problems instead of passively receiving information, it fosters imaginative capacities for problem-solving.
Celebrating P.R.I.D.E
Celebrating our scholars acheivements keep them involved, well rounded and motivated. It gives them somethng to look forward too. "All work and no play drains the gorwing mind".

Academic Support
AMS III scholars will have the opportunity to get extra support when needed. We provide all students with office hours Regents prep, and optional Saturday classes. This allows students to gain more support during small instructional time with their teachers.
Transitioning into High School
Transitioning from middle school to high school can be a very overwhelming transition for students. Therefore, each grade has a school counselor and Assistant Principal that provides academic and social emotional support to each student.
The School Counselor and Assistant Principal become apart of the scholar cohort. This cohort follow each scholar as they move up each grade to ensure each student has a successful high school experience!
Family Involvement
We understand how important it is for families and school staff to have strong partnership. Therefore, all parents have the opportunity to be apart of the Family School Alliance (FSA) team. Individuals apart of this team will be able to discuss any concerns and help organize school and community events with the Parent Coordinator.
