New York Women in Communications Inc. Foundation 2009 Scholarship Program
Summary: Based on academic achievement, need, demonstrated leadership participation in school and community service. Work experience, aspirations, unusual personal and family circumstances are looked at.
Eligibility: For high school seniors who are permanent residents of NY, NJ, CT or PA. Must be declaring a major in a communications-related field, including but not limited to advertising, broadcasting, communications, English, film, journalism, marketing, new media, or public relations. Must have an overall GPA of 3.2 or better (or the high school equivalent). If they fulfill eligibility requirements, they may attend college outside of said state.

Dr. James L. Lawson Memorial Scholarship
Summary: For students who have an amateur radio license and who are interested in amateur radio and planning a career in communications or electronics. Must demonstrate financial need.
Eligibility: Must live in NY, CT, MA, RI, ME, VT, or NH and must plan to attend a college in one of those states.
