Bridge to College

Our Bridge to College Program helps high school seniors prepare for the transition into higher education during the summer of their senior year by pairing each student with an alumni mentor.

Many high school graduates who have been accepted and intend to enroll in college never set foot on campus.

A primary reason for this phenomenon, known as “Summer Melt,” is that the support students receive during their senior year disappears after graduation. The New Visions Bridge to College program fills this void by providing a structured support system to ensure all college bound graduates successfully transition from high school to college.

Through this program, New Visions hires, trains, and manages a team of alumni from our schools, who are currently in college, to support the transition of graduating seniors. These College Coaches provide outreach and support to seniors, from the spring semester through the summer following graduation. Coaches work with students to complete critical pre-enrollment milestones.
